Terms and conditions

The terms on which we sell. Please read them before you order.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Hossam-UK Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 15153560 and VAT number GB505315917. Our registered office is Office 17, 30B Wilds Rents, London, SE1 4QG, United Kingdom. You can contact us at info@hossam-uk.com or on +44 7450 950806.

2. These terms

These terms apply to every order placed on this website. Some terms apply only to consumers (individuals buying for purposes outside their trade, business or profession) and some only to business customers; where that is the case we say so. By placing an order you agree to these terms. Please also read our privacy policy and returns policy, which form part of them.

3. Products and prices

Product descriptions, images and specifications come from the manufacturers and are given in good faith; minor variations may occur. Prices are shown in pounds sterling, both including and excluding VAT at the current UK rate. The price you pay is the price shown at the checkout when you place your order, plus the delivery charge shown there. If we discover a pricing error after you order, we will contact you and give you the choice of continuing at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.

4. Placing an order

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we take payment and send you an order confirmation with your VAT invoice; the contract is made at that point. We may decline an order, for example because an item is out of stock, because of an error on the site, or because we cannot deliver to your address. If we have taken payment, we will refund it in full.

Stock is reserved for you when you place your order and released if the payment is not completed within the time shown on the payment page.

5. Payment

We accept the payment methods shown at the checkout. Card and wallet payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card details. Trade account customers with agreed credit terms may pay on invoice within the agreed period; late payment may incur statutory interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

6. Delivery

We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only. Delivery methods, prices and estimated times are set out on our delivery page and at the checkout. Estimated times are not guaranteed. The goods are your responsibility from the time they are delivered to the address you gave. For business customers, title passes when we have received payment in full.

7. Cancelling and returning (consumers)

If you are a consumer you may cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving it, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and must return the goods within 14 days of telling us. Some items are excluded, and we may reduce your refund if goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect them. Full details, including our longer 14-day returns window for unopened items, are in our returns policy.

8. Faulty goods

If you are a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you rights if goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose: a refund within 30 days, and repair or replacement after that. Nothing in these terms affects those rights. Business customers benefit from the manufacturer’s warranty and our warranty terms; for business customers all other warranties and conditions implied by law are excluded to the extent permitted.

9. Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your rights as a consumer. For consumers, we are responsible for foreseeable loss and damage caused by us, but not for business losses. For business customers, our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order, and we are not liable for loss of profit, business, contracts or data, or any indirect or consequential loss.

Many of our products are components for incorporation into your own designs. You are responsible for checking that a product is suitable for your application and for complying with the manufacturer’s ratings and documentation.

10. Trade accounts

Trade accounts are granted at our discretion after an application and, where credit terms are requested, a credit assessment. Credit limits and payment terms are confirmed in writing when the account is opened and may be changed or withdrawn on notice.

11. Your account and this website

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Content on this website, including text, images and the design, belongs to us or our licensors; product names and logos are trademarks of their owners. Raspberry Pi is a trademark of Raspberry Pi Ltd; Arduino is a trademark of Arduino SA.

12. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as supplier shortages, strikes or extreme weather. We will tell you as soon as possible and, if the delay is substantial, you may cancel and receive a refund for goods not delivered.

13. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts). If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest continues to apply. We may update these terms; the version on the website when you order applies to that order.

Complaints: please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve the matter promptly.
