About this statement
The Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires large businesses to publish an annual statement. Hossam-UK Ltd is below the turnover threshold, but we publish this statement voluntarily because our customers, including public bodies and schools, expect their suppliers to take the issue seriously. This statement is for 2026 and is reviewed every year.
Our business
We are a UK online distributor of electronic components, single-board computers and tools, selling to individuals and businesses from a single UK location. Our supply chain consists of manufacturers and their authorised distributors, mostly in the UK, Europe, the United States and East Asia.
Our policy
We have zero tolerance of slavery, servitude, forced labour and human trafficking. Everyone who works for us is employed directly under a written contract, paid at least the National Living Wage, and free to leave. We do not use recruitment agencies that charge workers fees.
Our supply chain
Because we buy only from manufacturers and authorised distributors, we deal with established companies that publish their own supplier codes of conduct and modern slavery statements, and we review those statements when we open a supplier account. We don’t buy from brokers or unverified sources. Where a supplier cannot show how it addresses forced labour in its own chain, we look for an alternative.
Due diligence and training
The owner is responsible for this policy. Staff who deal with suppliers are briefed on the signs of forced labour and on how to raise a concern. Concerns can be raised with the owner directly or anonymously at info@hossam-uk.com, and are investigated.
Looking ahead
Over the next year we will record each supplier’s modern slavery statement in our supplier records and review this statement annually.
