Raspberry Pi 5 is built around the Broadcom BCM2712, a 2.4GHz quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A76 processor, and Raspberry Pi rates it at two to three times the speed of Raspberry Pi 4. Raspberry Pi's own RP1 I/O controller looks after the two USB 3.0 ports, the camera and display connectors and Gigabit Ethernet.

A single-lane PCIe 2.0 interface lets you add an M.2 NVMe SSD or an AI accelerator through an M.2 HAT, and the board adds a real-time clock, a power button and a UART debug port. It drives two 4Kp60 HDMI displays at once.

Choose the LPDDR4X memory size your project needs, from 1GB for embedded jobs to 16GB for demanding desktop and server work. Power it from a 5V/5A USB-C supply with Power Delivery, such as the Raspberry Pi 27W USB-C Power Supply, and keep it cool under load with the Active Cooler or the official case.
